Set/4 PANSY 6" COPPER PURPLE BOWLS hand-made using spun glass technique

Bring your Garden indoors with this beautiful luminescent glass pansy bowl. Because its name means "thought", the Pansy was chosen as a symbol of Freethought and was used by many romantic poets in history. Even in Hamlet, Ophelia distributes flowers with the remark, "There's pansies, that's for thoughts". Therefore the legend has it that you could see the face of a loved one you think about on this flower. This brightly colored collection of Dinner, Salad, and Desert plates is a perfect gift item in every presentation. Combine them with your fine China to perk up a table setting. Each piece is hand-made using spun glass technique, once the glass has cooled down we hand decorate each one on the back of the glass starting with a hand-applied patina paint which follows with gilding the silver, gold, or copper leaves on the surface. Once the surface is cleaned from metal leaf residues, the item is heat cured we then layer organic pigment in steps to each glass piece by hand. As the metal layer soaks the paints in, all items are sealed with a special lacquer to assure its resistance to usage and heated for a final time to cure the item and penetrate all materials on the glass surface. Start to finish each one takes up to 3 hours to create. You can use this piece of art bowl as a decor piece on your coffee table, coin bowl, jewelry bowl or even a soap dish in your bath. You can also serve small bites of food as dessert, appetizers, cheese etc... in this bowl to decorate your table at your dinner party. Good size to use as a nuts bowl or personal tasting dishes as well. You can also use as a candle plate for your pillars. As you are serving food to eat best with your fingers; try to pour in some water, fresh flower petals, a little cologne and lemon juice to serve for each of your guests to clean their fingers after the dinner party.
